Pretty good premise, but it falls short in some areas.
The combat is very clunky and hard to understand, i have no idea what i'm doing, and i think i'm doing it wrong? The first battle was kind of hard, so i'm terrified of doing the next ones.
The sex system - I like how many stuff you can do in it, but at the moment it's so... slow. I prefer the sex system in BDCC way more, but that might be just a personal experience.
Also there is a lot of text. That's a mixed bag - i'm not used to reading big amounts of text, so ironically i have to be *not* horny to actually have the patience to read it, but on the other hand i love that it's descriptive enough to hook me in, but not too descriptive, 'cause that can get boring.
Another thing on my mind is that there's basically no tutorials, except the "?" buttons. I think it'd be better if there was some sort of interactive tutorial for everything, so you're *forced* to know what's what. Also some of the things are just not explained at all, like seducing your crew, or ship policies...
Finally, i'd love to see some way of seeing relationships with people on board, how am i supposed to know if my XO is my friend, or if they're my fuckbuddy already?

In short, love the game and idea, but the combat system and sex system needs improvements, and probably some overhauls.

how did you even get past the combat "tutorial"? it's utterly beyond comprehension and just trying random things hasn't provided any enlightenment.

Basically, you don't control when actions happen, you can like... boost their effects only. The counter is for when it happens, and the break is for you to boost your team (so if you boost your attack option by 100% its 100% more effective, that resets after it attacks). This is the case for every other combat thingy in the game as of writing.

I have just recently picked up playing what I have started some... six years ago, while Carnal Coup was early in development.

And I have to say, your writing is so unexpectedly TASTEFUL. It is humorous and jokes are centered around over-horny Figuras, but it is not vulgar. You don't cross the line of light-hearted porny sexy to crude and trashy. The internal logic of events and plot is very much sound as well.

With my sincerity, I admire what you did and your tenacity of finishing one game and starting another.

Glad you've been enjoying it! While I don't mind consuming stuff that's a little rougher at times, I've always been more comfortable with keeping things lighthearted in my own works.

it is a wonderful game and I can't wait to get more content. However I have two questions that pop up in my head often:

1. can characters get pregnant? I have seen the options to select fertile and infertile, but nothing has happened yet

2. going over the yellow square during intimate time makes that character unable to lower the red bar and they end up stuck without being able to climax anymore. Is it a bug or a function? If it is a function, how can I improve?

(more questions may arise, I would like to apologise for my lack of ability to ask them all at once)

(1 edit)

also, I appear to have lost all my saved data once I reopened the game T-T. Is it something that should happen when playing on web or is it a bug?

[nevermind, it was because I had played offline so it never truly saved.]

Unfortunately saving in WebGL for more than a single session hasn't worked on most browsers in years (maybe all browsers).

Pregnancy is future content which I'll be working on fairly soon.

Some acts are more 'foreplay' focused and some are more 'finisher' focused. Foreplay actions are better at the start and worse at the end, and vice-versa for finishers. If you've gone over, try some lighter actions.

got it, thanks. I have one more question, if I don't annoy you. How do I unlock the other traits?

You mean post char-gen? I don't currently have anything lined up for that, but there's a lot of game development left to go.

understood, I asked mostly beceause the gaame said that I could obtain them playing the game

Can we have both infiltrator and liberator options for review/replay, please?

Is there version for android planned? It's that I'm yearning to play it just from seeing the images and reading those descriptions.

(+2)

i really enjoy this game! my only gripe is id like it if every race could have the ability to be hermaphoditic with working features. even if it doesnt fit their lore, it could be easily written off as a mutation id think. would make the game a lot more interesting :)

where's the download link?

Sorry, must've missed a click when I was saving the update.

ok

will this come to steam?

(+1)

Eventually, although I don't plan to do the Early Access thing.

is it possible to impregnate your xo

Currently experiencing a bug where my Harian just keeps on multiplying. I cannot even see my other crew members anymore.

This is likely due to the same bug derg reported, due to an issue with Harian portraits. The fix will be in v0.22.0.

Mmm, good to know that there will be a likely fix

(1 edit)

I encountered multiple crashes while trying to save before even leaving the tutorial phase, which made the experience pretty miserable. Probably should get this fixed for the next version.

Haven't noticed this issue myself, are you playing the online version or the Windows version? If it's the online one, every browser has its own implementation of saving WebGL data and I can't rule out that one would just break. (None of them work fully these days to my knowledge.)

The one I played was the 64 Bit Windows version. Not sure if I was particularly unlucky for some reason, or if that's a persistent issue during Tutorial phase. But it definitely soured my first impression on the game.

But other than that, the game definitely has promises. Wonder if you will consider making more persistent NPC characters (maybe with their own custom portraits) who can join the crew down the line than simply having them all be randomly generated.

In a new game on v0.20.0, I go back to my quarters with my XO after the three tutorial battles, and instead of seeing my XO's status on the right, there are three boxes labeled "Test Name".  Upon leaving the scene, I'm stuck without options or usable buttons on the main screen (the same behavior as in the XO desk scene in the previous version).

Seems to be basically any sex interaction in both the downloaded version and the web version.

OK, this seems to happen consistently if I choose a Harian character to start, but not if I choose a Figura.  Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

I believe I've found the issue, it seems to have been an issue with feminine Harian portrait components. Thanks for the report!

(1 edit)

What's the Victorious alley encounter and how/where can I triger it?

Replaying the Victorious athletes BJ scenes did not unlock their gallery items. Same with nudes of my XO etc.

(1 edit)

The alley encounter is on Victorious after doing the debrief for the ship/bank heist. If you played the athletes scene in an old version before the CG was added, it's possible that the gallery flag was never set, I'll look into adding a check for that in my savegame compatibility code. Office replays don't set any flags. As for the XO, there aren't currently any scenes unlocking their nude gallery as they only get partially stripped in each of their current scenes, might change that.

Edit: There may be an issue with the flag being checked for both the alley scene and the local shop, I'll make some changes there.

(1 edit)

Is the debrief automatic and cannot be missed or do I have to do it somewhere actively? (I already captured Clausen.) So what do I have to do to trigger the encounter exactly? Landing on the planets and repeatedly choosing different activities gives me nothing.

Hi,

I only recently found this and Carnal Coup, and have enjoyed them both.  Looking forward to updates!

I had a few questions and bits of feedback:

  • Is it currently possible to fail a duty mission?  I usually try to keep the success percentage high, but I've succeeded in plenty of missions that are marked at 60% or lower, and can't remember ever having failed one.
  • What sort of pregnancy content is currently in/planned for the future?  There seems to be groundwork laid with the Breeder trait and associated explanation, but I've only seen a single piece of dialogue in the intro that depends on it, and no relevant game text even when in "relations" with a compatible partner.
  • Similarly, some of the sexual traits are described as enabling certain interactions/content.  I've mostly just seen this occasionally turn a 20% chance of hooking up with a crewmember into 40%, if we happen to have aligning fetishes.  Are there other places this is--or will be--used?
  • I wanted to mention that I'm also seeing the same behavior as another commenter where there aren't any options after selecting bend over/get bent over with your XO.  This is both in the downloaded version and the version embedded on the page.
  • Can there be a way to convert requisitions/points between career tracks?  The general requisitions can be frustrating when they give you an officer you don't need--and then if you turn that officer back in, you get back a req/points for that same career track, which doesn't help you fill the position you actually need to fill.
  • I know the popup at the very beginning means there's still a lot of balancing to be done, but a number of the traits just seem...actively harmful, with little benefit.  Duty missions seem to be a big part of the game, so the penalties to the success of duty missions seem pretty rough.  (That's if I'm interpreting "success" correctly--see my first point.)
  • Crew members frequently have stat blocks that don't really match their positions very well (e.g. Cultural crew with 0 Charisma) and/or traits that don't make sense (e.g. Wet and Ready on someone without a vagina).
  • I'm not sure if it's just my current playthrough, but all of my officers are gaining career XP much faster than sexual XP--there are a lot of duty missions that grant the former and comparatively few that grant the latter, and the other ways of gaining sexual XP don't seem to make up the difference.  The 20% default chance of hooking up with them myself means I don't end up helping very much overall, the amount granted by the ship stations is small, and my XO can only do so much....
  • Why can we only "wait" at our designated base in each system?  I frequently find myself traveling back and forth in a system simply to pass time.
  • While the available options for one's own actions during sex generally make sense, a number of them seem to be unavailable when making a request in a number of poses.  (One example:  if you have a vagina and your partner has a penis, you can't ask them to penetrate you while in a missionary pose--even though you can make the same request in a cowgirl pose.)
  • Miscellaneous UI-related things.  There's a mix of things in here, but several of them fall into the category of "things that feel just a little clunky on their own, but add up".
    • I *think* there's already a UI difference between "enabled radio button" and "disabled radio button", but even specifically looking it's difficult to see.  Could this be made clearer?
    • It isn't always obvious when there's a story-relevant image available--I assume it's available under "View Scene Image", but that button is a little buggy to begin with, and it's enabled a lot of the time to show a background setting so just the fact that it's enabled doesn't clue the player in that there's a new (and/or particularly steamy) image available.
    • Can the crew overview screen devote less space to the search/filter, and more to showing more of the crew at once?  If streamlined a bit, you could include the XP and Seduce buttons here as well, eliminating the need to click through to the individual crewmembers.
    • The battle commands are generally "add X% of attribute Y to a character's next action".  While there is a display of the attributes along with this, it would be handy if the game did the calculation and presented the result when choosing commands.
    • I get that particularly for space battles it makes sense for there to be distance between the parties, but it would be very useful to see both your team *and* the other team at the same time.
    • In general there seem to be a lot of confirmation popups (e.g. when closing out of ship view, or when confirming that you want to progress travel).  I would personally not miss these if they went away.

...wow, this ended up a *lot* longer than expected.  Hopefully you'll take it as a testament of how much I do in fact like the game, though.  :)

(+1)

Thanks for your interest in the game! To answer what I can:

  • You can fail a duty mission but it has no consequences beyond wasting your time. Failing a story-required duty mission will still progress the story.
  • Pregnancy will be one of the features in the 'second wave' of functionality I'll get to after the first four factions are in a decent state. There will need to be ship policies implemented, an upgraded medbay (probably as part of larger ship tiers), and there will not be any children on the ship itself. At most kids might appear in an epilogue scene, as having kids at all in a porn game is a risky move.
  • I would like to eventually have every trait unlock at least one special scene or scene variant, and some already do, but this may be a thing where I go back after most of the game's been done and add more options to existing scenes, as I don't want to spend a month on a scene at this point in development.
  • The XO scene bug has already been fixed in the patron version and will come to the public soon.
  • I'll take a look at more req trade options.
  • None of the traits are entirely harmful but they're not all balanced to be the same.
  • Stats are intended to be random, but if they're getting unusable traits that's a bug (that one might have gotten lost on my to-do list at some point).
  • I'll likely be adding more sources of sex xp in the future.
  • A goal of the game is to encourage players to bounce around between systems regularly rather than just go to one, do that system to 100%, and then do the next one. I realize that causes some annoyance while the number of systems is still limited.
  • There's an insane number of pose combinations so it's possible that some aren't flagged right, though it may also be good to double check that the characters are in the correct relative pose positions.
  • I do intend to make CGs more obvious but I don't have a timeframe on it.
  • The combat's gotten a lot of complaints and I may end up redoing this system entirely at some point.
(+1)

Great, thanks for the replies!

(1 edit) (+1)

I can't travel.I have chosen the place where he should fly, but he is not flying.

(+1)

I have heard a bug report where if you save and load at some particular spot, it will give you double the assignments and so they end up not all filled, although I haven't been able to reproduce it myself.

(+4)

is there plans for severely overhauling or replacing the terrible combat system?

(1 edit) (+1)

is there like a guide or anything to this? I keep getting stuck randomly and have no idea what to do even after restarting and rereading everything like 3 times. currently have no idea what to do after capturing the admiral. also when I try to flirt with the XO and it gives the option of "get bent over/bend him over" it just gets stuck there and I can't choose to leave the scene or anything and have to travel to a new place to get access to things again.

(+1)(-1)

None of the storylines are currently complete, if you hit the end of one plotline you're encouraged to travel around to other locations (or wait for the next update).

The XO scene works in my testing but I'll give it a closer look to see if there's a scenario where it might have issues.

alright thank you

It might be a bit of a nitpick but skipping LTJG bugs me . It would be better if they started at Lieutenant Junior Grade, since they seem to be coming out of an officer training program you could say that grade determines rank and anyone Ensign or lower is barred from field missions

I see a web LG and 64 bit version I can download. For whatever reason I had 32 bit it seems. I still get slightly confused by the different offers sometimes.

(1 edit)

Help please. How do I travel to a new area? I see the line but I dont know how to move Edit; nvm I got it

you need to mark the circular check box at the end of the line and click then in travel until next event or the other option

(2 edits) (+1)

Ass, and boobs/chest option in actions would make it smoother I think. sex mechanics need some improvement/art, but a very promising start! A mac version or way to external save from web would be nice if possible. Also, found a bug, requesting my XO to dirty talk gave an output of 'NO STRING' idk what that means.

Excuse me for the question, but is it at a state where you can already play a bit and unlock stuff or am I still finished after a few pages? I think I started when this was pretty new.

(+2)(-1)

Two of the planned eight star systems are most of the way done, and there's two more at about 1%.

Thank you, sounds like it''s worth to start, can you switch between the planets when I reach a dead end or should I have a save ready?

The game is actually designed around rotating between different locations regularly, rather than simply sitting at one and finishing it before moving on. Save games are always compatible with new versions as well.

(+1)

I can not for the life of me figure out how to select a destination on the map, the tutorial literally only says "Select a destination," like how tf m i supposed to do that if I don't know how??? Tried clicking every single thing on the screen, I can't travel to destination or next even because i can't select a destination! I just need an answer i am so close to deleting this

(+1)

If it  the  tutorial  you should have  only one location selectable  you should be able to click travel to destination or event (neither matters at this point) and go oh  and  check your ship assignements I think the tutorial forces you assign crew to stations  and tasks before you leave, if you've done all of  the above and it won't work then it's a bug or somthing and ya might wanna let the Dev know

(1 edit)

I did the assignments and everything, I can't select location :/

(-1)

In the Figura system there are two locations, Watch Station and the Training Area, connected by a path line. The location you're not currently at (the Training Area) will have a checkbox to select to mark it as your destination.

(+4)(-1)

Can you make a version for Android

(-10)

Trash. The four first crew are random. Can't you make us select them one by one? Very annoying.

(+3)

Yeah I save before I request more crew and reload till I get ones who don't suck honestly it's the only way to get a semi decent crew at the start

(+2)

Will there be options added to change the font? It's... headache inducing and hard to follow.

(1 edit)

Webgl and the other options like 64 or 32 Bit, what's exactly the difference?

I also noticed a sandbox option

I could update but always see like two or three versions then

(+2)(-1)

WebGL is the in-browser version, save games aren't expected to work there. 32/64 bit refers to your version of Windows, if you have a recent version you're probably on 64 bit (although 32 bit will work on either).

Well thank you, no matter what this will at least help me understand this a bit better next time.

How complete is it already? I think i was stopped pretty early the last time but was interessted.

Perhaps a quarter to a third. The core foundational functionality is largely in but it still needs a lot of content. I expect development to continue for a few more years.

(+1)

I gotta ask this. How many people  restart  at the beginning because initial crew (sometimes including the XO)   are chock full of negative traits like inefficient,  Flighty Hotheaded etc? I especially hate it when traits turn up that lower attributes for certain Fields  or worse are useless  for that field  a scientist  with high stam low int with Jock for example. Is just me or do others feel this way?

I keep getting trapped on the review duty assignment thing, no matter what I do I can't go anywhere or do anything what am I missing?

The symbol on the duties are where you assign crew

I'm stuck here too, I assign all of my crew to their duties but it won't let me travel, it keeps saying "you need to assign all your duties" but I have no one left to assign.

(+1)

Just to be clear, duty assignments are different than assigning crew to their bridge stations. If you are having issues with the duty assignments, feel free to swing by the discord if you get a chance and send me your save file, as I can't reproduce the issue here.

How do you trigger the Sorority plotline? I have  the latest public version of the game and after I met the Sage for the first time,I went back to the observatory and waited for 20 hours and nothing.

(+1)(-1)

That's not yet available in the public version.

(+3)

I wish combat was a lot faster, right now it feels like it's taking forever to finish a turn.

(+2)

Good afternoon, Mr. DaScoot. I want to know about the game you are making. Will this game be released on Android in the future?

(-2)

Unfortunately I don't have the time required to develop and test for additional platforms.

as a game tester i give this a game a 9.5/10 cuz the time it takes to buy 1 ship and i would like to see missions where we get ships when the mission is complete.

On the download version for Windows 64, It wouldn't register me changing the name of the ship at the start.

(-1)

Thanks, have this fixed for the next release.

Just wondering, is it normal to have save files disappearing in web version?

(-1)

Yes, browsers haven't saved WebGL files between sessions for a few years now.

That's a shame tbh

How do I promote my officers do I have  do so  at watch station or is this mechanic not implemented yet

(-1)

It's done from the Crew Roster, and requires both XP and some resources to do.

I enjoyed the game.  The crew building is similar to star trek online and what I spent most of my time doing.  One warning though, Never take a duty with the general recruitment reward.  There is a bug when you get one and try to use it.

(+4)

The story is interesting but...

Most actions are tedious. Unlike most games, you NEED to read the instructions in the "?" panel, as not many things are obvious unlike most games.

Sure, you get used to it, but eh. It's still tedious sometimes.
