Hey all, it's a new year! I don't usually do many update posts here on itch, as I update the game twice a month and it's usually easiest to just let folks check out the news on the Patreon. However, with another year come and gone it seemed like a good time to sum things up and see what we've accomplished, and what's in store!

So, what did 2024 bring for Carnal Voyages? Let's start by looking at the numbers, perhaps:

• 8 Harian Scenes (and the completion of the Harian faction)
• 11 Seeder Scenes (and the completion of the Seeder faction)
• 9 Schen Scenes
• 6 Happee Scenes
• 3 Figura Scenes
• 6 Ship Scenes
• 114 Duty Assignments
• 9 CGs
• 5 Portrait Sets

There was also quite a bit of new functionality:

• Scene Replay Mode
• Map 'New Scene' Alerts
• 'Chain' Duty Assignments
• Tier 3 Ships (featuring five new ship classes)
• Pregnancy System

Not to mention a multitude of bug fixes and other small updates. Not bad for a part-time project, if I say so myself. There is of course some stuff I was hoping to get in this year which I didn't, but in general everything is continuing on track, and there's been no major road blocks for the project. But speaking of things that aren't in the game yet, what's in store for 2025? Well, to break things down the same way, content wise my goals include:

• Completion of the Schen faction
• Completion of the Happee faction
• Introduction of the Roth faction
• Introduction of the Slime faction

Pretty straightforward when listed out, although of course that includes a lot of smaller tasks like the creation of new characters, new star systems, even more duty assignments, and of course new artwork. How about functionality? Well, a review of the game's combat system is still on the list, as it's one of the most commented-on parts of the game. On top of that, there's:

• Player Cosmetic Surgery (Tier 3 Ship feature)
• XO Relationship System
• Weapons Upgrades for Ground Combat
• Toy Upgrades for Procedural 'Romance' Scenes
• Tier 4 Ships - (2025 Maybe)

So with all of that spelled out, it's certainly plain to see that development of the game will be continuing not just into 2025 but 2026 as well - after all, there's two more entire factions which aren't even on the list yet. My most immediate goal however will be focusing on Happee and Schen content, as I just spent a few months in code work getting the pregnancy system functioning. The Agent Switch cameo storyline is almost complete, which means soon it'll be time to pick the next Carnal Coup character to make a guest appearance as well. In any case, there's a lot to look forward to, and I hope you're as excited to see what's coming as I am!
